As a history of the 19th century stoneware manufacturing tradition in the village of Havana, N.Y. (Montour Falls since 1895), this book covers the history of Havana, including the Chemung Canal, and the works of the six manufacturers in the village. The book traces the history of each company and pictures examples of their wares. Author Allen Sweet is the historian for the Village of Montour Falls. Prices are not included in the book. However, an online price guide, referencing pieces seen in the book, is available on this site.
